CrossFit Coney Island is the home of Brooklyn’s tightest, results-oriented fitness community.
We have two main goals: getting you in the best shape of your life and having fun along the way.
By design, CrossFit is broad, functional, and inclusive -- we take that to the next level. With the support of a community built on mutual respect, you’ll be part of a program that’s tough, dynamic, and never boring (we promise). Our trainers are with you every step of the way to coach, push, and encourage. Together, we’ll run faster, lift heavier, and drive longer. The bottom line? You’ll have to put in the work, but you won’t have to do it alone.
Even though you will be part of a team and community, we realize every single athlete is an individual. We make it a point to keep each member accountable and on track by helping you identify and understand your individual goals, needs and challenges, then create a plan of action to address them.
CrossFit Kids is a method for teaching CrossFit to children ages 3-18. Based on the principle of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity, CrossFit Kids emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.
CrossFit Kids is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. Further, the needs of second graders and high-school varsity wrestlers differ by degree and not kind; the program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids.
Learn how to lift properly and get stronger in a safe and controlled manner. Beginning a "starting strength" program opens the door to endless possibilities. It will make you stronger, understand how to move better, and most of all teach you how to build a strength program safely and effectively.

In 2010 (1 year before he knew what CrossFit was), Coach Elie suffered a back injury and for about 6 months his left leg was 80% paralyzed. Several neurologists told him that his left leg would never recover and that he would always have a severe limp and to run again was laughable. Thanks to some determination and luck, Elie has fully recovered and because of CrossFit he is stronger and more fit than ever was before. Overcoming such a dramatic and daunting task, with CrossFit as his means, inspired Elie to Open a gym of his own to give to athletes in his community to write their own stories of success and perseverance.

Coach "Selfie" Scott
Family man and avid selfie-taker, few people ever get the privilege of meeting someone with a heart as big as Scott's; and we're lucky enough to see him everyday at 6a.m.!
(We used this picture because we're pretty sure it's the only one of Scott that's not a selfie.)
Coach Ben may not be the largest athlete on the floor but whatever he lacks in physical stature he makes up for with heart and dedication. This guy can fight through anything. Try to beat him in a burpee workout, I dare you.
A Pilates instructor and CrossFit athlete, Delfina’s passion for health and wellness stems from a strong foundation in core work. Her philosophy builds off of the CrossFit motto: Core to Extremity. After graduating from Brooklyn College, Delfina worked closely with physical therapists and always stresses the importance of learning the basics and stabilization before fast and hard movements. Don't be fooled, however, she knows when to crank up the intensity.
Richie is a student of all things fitness. His meticulous attention to detail coupled with his love for the athletes he coaches makes Richie the perfect person to go to whether your a newb or an elite athlete looking to podium your next competition.
An Olympic lifting prodigy, this humble man lifts like a beast. A student of the sport, Coach Jason can help improve anyone's technique. Whether you're looking to just get started or perfect your lifts - he is the man you're looking for.
Coach Chantel journeyed through many different fitness avenues, including ballet and triathlons, before finding her love in CrossFit. Chantel, a PT assistant by day, is a student in body mechanics, recognizing imbalances, and developing prehab and rehab exercises.
